SPLENDOR At last our new MARITIMO cruising boat SPLENDOR arrives in Phuket after a 55 hour run up from Singapore in windy and rough conditions. The boat handled everything fantastic and to say we are pleased with her is an understatement. She is on show at the Phuket boat show 4th-7th Dec and then it’s straight out on charter.
MISS FRANCE
Joining our ever increasing group of celebrities we have had the pleasure of taking out some of the candidates for the upcoming MISS FRANCE pageant chartered us for a photo shoot. December 6th is the day Miss France is chosen so if you are watching look out for REEL BLUE.
ANDAMANS 2009
Still a charter left for 2009 if anyone has time to go the fishing is great the boats good the food good just ask Sir Ian Botham who joined us there April 2008.
PHUKET FISHING TOURNAMENT
REEL HOOKER and WAHOO 4 were both chartered for the tournament. Reel Hooker came up one short finishing second with the team Fighting Irish and Wahoo 4 after not doing well the first two days came a creditable 4th after a last day flurry.
WILLIAMS F1 Pit crew
During a pit stop for the crew after the Singapore F1 race the crew chartered REEL HOOKER for the day. They were pleased with their two sailfish and Wahoo catch for the day and have promised to be back next year.

As promised Jeff here is a picture of that nice Wahoo you caught the other day. Perhaps if you show this to the Queen she might give you that long awaited knighthood.
Maritimo comes to Thailand.
Wahoo as a company is going from strength to strength as we now move into the cruising market. The amount of high end tourists visiting Phuket increases every year and they are requiring more activities to do so it has been a natural progression for us with the purchase of our new boats.
Wahoo has been appointed the Phuket Thailand dealer for Maritimo luxury motor yachts from Australia. We have placed an order for two new vessels one the cruising version of the 48 with the new sky lounge and back deck barbeque and the newest edition to Maritimo’s range the all new 500, 50 odd feet of fishing luxury. The boat will be set up for fishing with all the best and latest electronics and top of the range fishing equipment. Both boats will have davits and tenders.

James and myself are off to Australia to purchase one or two new boats to increase our fleet possibly a new 61 foot state of the art Riviera and another 45-48.We will keep you posted on this and get photos up asap. Bookings are going very well over the Andamans and it is now time for us to try and get a boat over there for a longer period banking on the news we heard that flights will go from Phuket to the Andamans in the not too distant future. Fishing is starting to pick up in Phuket sailfish have arrived again and i managed to bag four in one day at Koh Har this week.Wahoo should be here very soon along with dolphin fish.
ANDAMAN ISLANDS 2008
As the first of the monsoon rains hit Phuket i am glad i made the crossing back from Port Blair ahead of time. This seasons fishing seemed stranger than other years i caught more marlin than ever caught more sailfish than all the years put together and had some very good fishing on the earlier trips for yellowfin tuna but some species let us down a lttle trolling around the islands during the late afternoon and a strange dissaperance of the many sharks that drive you crazy some nights. Taking everything into account here is me moaning when i caught 32 marlin (13 more than last year) 6 sailfish and plenty of other great fish when other boats fishing different locations would be very happy maybe it was i just had to work a little harder this year fish keeping me on my toes. One lucky angler Chee Meng Yap a regular fisherman with us managed to release a grand slam of billfish Black Marlin,Blue marlin and a sailfish what we believe is the first person to do so This year we at Wahoo were very pleased that cricket ledgend Sir Ian Botham fished eight days with us in the Andamans and managed to release six marlin with his good friend Sean. Andaman Islands After the good marlin catches of 2007 the bookings came in thick and fast for 2008 and both Reel Blue and Reel Hooker are fully booked for two months leaving end of January until early April. Let’s hope the fish are in the same place again in big numbers.
Bookings already being taken for 2009 so if you have some dates in mind get in contact as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
